Tips on Starting to Use Vibram FiveFingers for Barefoot Running

Barefoot running means learning to run on the forefoot
First 2-3 weeks, run at most 10% of your normal running distance
After 2–3 weeks, increase running distance by 10%–20% every couple of weeks
Never run 2 days in a row for the first month
Before and after each run, stretch focusing on calves and feet, because barefoot running stimulates these muscles
If at any point you start to feel pain during a run, stop! Try again in a couple of days
